  1. It is really sad to think of them not being with us anymore.
I still remember how vibrant Paula was: athletic, social, smart. I was writing to Ty that I still have a vision of her in her cat costume she wore to school for Halloween - skin tight body leotard, whiskers painted on her face and cat ears. She was so tall and slender. She made perfect cat.
I was recalling with Mark B the fight I got into with Larry Tow in Tobin's English class that got us kicked out into the hall. It went something like he called me “easy” and I had a snide retort and called him “lips”. Then there was a shove then a shove back and then a lot of sissy slapping. LOL. We ended up being very good friends by senior year and I would go out shooting with him and just hang out.

  2. I remember Laurie Bartling as our first loss in eighth grade. She was always busy doing something. I tore Todd Talich's shirt in 3rd grade chasing him through the playground at South Elementary. I think I had a crush on him. His mother, who worked for my father, was NOT very happy with me! Cal Holbrook washed my face with snow in 6th grade and made me cry. My sister, Jenay, went across the street and yelled at him. I don't know what she said, but after that he was always nice to me and even protected me from other neighborhood bullies. Larry Tow and I were good friends. I once hit his car while trying to park my Camaro and argue with Scot at the same time (I think he was mad cause we were late AGAIN). Larry was such a sweetie about it and never told anyone. I didn't either, till now. Leslie Nebarez and I were talking friends as was Shara Bills. Paula Schinzel was always so very nice, but so incredibly smart and talented that she seemed to be on a whole other plane from the rest of us. I miss each of them and am sorry they have passed on.
