Reunion Revisited
Our 30th Class Reunion was held Labor Day weekend, September 4, 5 and 6 , 2009. Friday night's social was held at Jimmy's, 1540 10th Avenue in Sidney. Saturday afternoon there was a tour of Sidney High School. Saturday evening, there was a casual supper at the Elks. There were drawings for prizes through out the evening on Saturday night. The cost to attend the reunion was $12 per person for the entire weekend activities. We had a blast! Looking forward to our 35th: Oktoberfest weekend - 2014!
30 YEARS AFTER - STEVE COPE
ReplyDelete1979 Graduated SHS, left after the summer to attend Kansas State University, had a great time, learned to party, almost learned to study, ran out of money in year 2. Went to work with an Iowa construction company, they sent me to Florida, tough break eh. Went back to Kansas State, met my first wife Jeri, had our 1st kid, Paul. After college back to work for construction company. To Chicago, to West Palm Beach (kid #2, Stefanie, also affectionately referred to as "Hurricane"), to North Carolina, to Ft Worth, to Des Moines, to Kansas City kid #3 Anna Lee, Changed career after a number of years in Kansas City to Building Inspections, moved to Joplin MO about 4 years ago, live in a house a block away from mom. Now the scary parts - Paul age 25 is presently awaiting his Kansas bar exam results, Stefanie "Hurricane" is a junior at Pitt State Pittsburg KS, Anna Lee 14 is a freshman in high school this year(JUST SHOOT ME!!!), Jeri (still my 1st wife)teaches 4th grade and I am the Building Official here in Joplin. 30 years has been a wild and wacky ride like the proverbial roller coaster, ups, downs, fast times, and slow, and the ride aint over yet. Looking forward to seeing everyone, guess it wont do much good to show the youngest where daddy went to High School, and I know I wont be showing some of the other places I hung out.
