I can't remember who taught first period typing? Seems like he was an older gentleman (I tread lightly on terms like old these days).
ReplyDeleteWas Captn' Carl the one who taught history until we ran him off? And which was the English teacher that brought in pictures of her face lift?
It was Ansel Lewis that taught typing. He smacked your fingers if you looked at them while typing. Unfortunately, yes it was Cap't Carl that left early. I wish we could take that back. i remember Mr. Muldoon coming in and putting us in our place...and rightfully so. It was Mrs. Tobin that did the face lift thing.
ReplyDeleteYea poor Capt'n Carl.. remember we had to drive a stick (standard) car with him in Drivers ed.. and Mr. Bruce was the other Drivers Ed.. his wife was the librarian... Mrs. Tobin was one of my fave teachers.. she went to CSC after Janice Graduated ... lived in the dorm even.. (private room).. I recall Mr. Michie.. Dolores Sparks and I nearly got caught, singing.. M-I-C-H-I-E. Mickey mouse.. (so silly) and I loved Mrs. Elwell.. Wonder where Miss Ennis is these days. .home ec... Our class was big and kind of bad.. I can recall Mr. Sheaman getting mad at graduation rehearsal.. and saying.. "man.. it'll be nice when you guys aer gone". . not in so many words maybe, but he was ticked! Didn't someone take a chair off the stage so when we all sat down we were one short? ? I think that is what set him off....??
