Part 1: Our 10 Year Reunion - Friday Night
Kevin Hammond and Wes Smith picking up Lori Bahr and Marsie Fritz for their 10 year reunion. They said they would pick us up in something "special". We thought they were joking until the limo showed up!

This was the Friday nite social at the Saddle Club....20 years ago!
Going back.....way, way, way back
These photos were taken, hmmmmm, maybe in the seventh grade? I think I can tell who most of them are. I didn't write the names on the backs...guess I was relying on having a good memory! Ha!

More Drive In Memories

You aren't the only one that spent time in the trunk of a car.
I think for most of us, it wasn't the thought of saving a few bucks to get into the drive in free, but to see how many people we could fit in a trunk...sneak into the drive in and get away with it.
Our kids are definitely missing out on the Good Ole' Drive In days..but part of me is thankful. I am already learning that my kids have "Drive In" stories of their own!
By the way....the barbed wire fence around the Drive In was not to easy to climb through unless you had a friend waiting on the other side. Many torn clothes, if my memory serves me correctly. Right, Marsie and Val?

Fond Memories For Rich Patten: Remember The Drive In?
It was a another evening at the drive-in, summer of 77. I, more than likely, was laying in the trunk of Niner's or Johnny O's car sneaking in. Usually they would stick me in the trunk, acting like we were going to the drive-in and then proceed to drive around for 30 minutes while I freaked out in the trunk. I wonder why I am slightly claustrophobic, among other things.
As was the norm, couldn't tell you what movie was playing. As eveyone gathered in the back rows, milling around and having fun, I was enamored by someone, none other than Lori Bahr.
We were laughing and enjoying the night.
Sue Sweeney was at the movie that night as well, in her VW Bug. What is more fun in the late 70's than seeing how many people can fit in a VW bug.
As everyone started piling into the bug, I held Lori's hand. I was new at this so it was it was a new sensation.
Finally everyone that could squeeze into the Bug did, I'm sure we set the Sidney record.
As bodies unpiled, I held tight to Lori's hand. I remember Tom Lein and Robin Custer getting off the pile and at that moment, in the light of the moon I could see down my arm to the hand I held.
As another person climbed out of the bug, I followed the hand to an elbow, and then to a shoulder and then to the sweet face of................Dennis Wamsley!
I was holding hands the entire time with Worm. I quickly released the hand and jumped out of the VW not saying one word to anyone. Worm never saw whose hand he held that night, I wonder whose hand he thought he was holding?

Here are a few more from the "archives". Most of you will recognize the people in the photos. The two at the top are Kelly Willis. I believe those are grade school photos. I was just talking to Rich Patten about her. Do you recognize the name with the face now, Rich? Other unfamiliar faces could be Sharon Weber (second row, two photos). Cindy Hull (third row), Theresa Danbom and Peggy Kinnersley. You should be able to guess the rest!
