Class of 1979 Plans A 45th Get Together


Plans to have a 45th get together will be held during the 2024 Oktoberfest.  Current plans are to meet up for the Class of '79 parade for a Class float.  After the parade, plans are to meet at Boss City Brewing for a few cocktails and hellos!  

You can also sign up for the Oktoberfest walk/run Saturday morning and walk/run with the class.

Glenda Roach Koros 1961-2024


Glenda Koros, 63, passed on August 19, 2024, at Polaris Nursing Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Services will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, September 5th, 2024, at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and officiated by Rev. Mike Erdman. Graveside will be a Sunset Memorial Park at a later date. A memorial has been established to Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel.

Glenda was born March 29, 1961, in Sidney, Nebraska. She was the second child of 4 children born to Glenn and Anna (Buss) Roach.

She attended school in Sidney, and then went to college in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where she obtained her CNA license. She worked at Northfield Villa nursing home in Gering, Nebraska. She worked many years with the office of aging. After that, she did some private nursing throughout the community. 

She truly enjoyed working with all of her patients.

Glenda married Jerry Koros in November of 2006. Glenda and Jerry never had any children of their own so when the opportunity arose to foster their niece Brooke, they took her in at the age of 12. Brooke was killed in a car accident at the age of 20. Their other niece Rochelle lived with them for a while as well.

Glenda loved her dogs dearly. She also enjoyed in a nightly Bible study with a group of her lady friends that she looked forward to every night. She enjoyed traveling with Jerry to Vegas to see his family. She took many day trips with her sister Nora and her friend Christie took her on many shopping trips to Cheyenne. She also enjoyed going to the dog races with her husband Jerry and sister Diane. Glenda had such a jovial personality and loved her friends dearly. She will be missed by them all.

She is survived by two sisters, Nora (Doug) Nickell of Fr. Morgan, Colorado and Diane (Mitch) of Greeley, Colorado. Nieces and nephews Crystal Nickell, Christopher Nickell, Cory Nickell, Dustin Brungardt, Brian Clark and Rochelle Linn. Also, several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her husband Jerry, parents Anna and Glenn, sister Barbara Clark, and niece Brooke Clark.
